Two Year Old Classroom
Ms. Elizabeth has been in early childhood development and education for over 10 years and has been a member of our team for over four years. As a Master Teacher, she brings together experience, practice and theory to create a very creative, engaging and enriched learning experience for her students. Her approach to the classroom is to engage the child in many activities that lend each child to the expansion of vocabulary, develop their social skills and a sense of self in relationship to the community and peer group as they begin to embrace sharing, taking turns and patience as well as developing Self Autonomy. Some of this is accomplished through family style serving at snack time, potty training, and care and maintenance of classroom and personal items. Here the child begins to explore cooperative play as they move away from parallel play. They begin to comprehend the concrete concepts such as placement, sequence, classification and texture.
